Raja Sapta Oktohari, Ketua Umum Komite Olimpiade Indonesia (KOI), mengumumkan bahwa target medali Indonesia untuk Olimpiade Paris 2024 akan ditetapkan setelah seluruh proses kualifikasi oleh cabang olahraga selesai.
Sampai saat ini adapun tambahan atlet yang akan mengikuti Olimpiade Paris 2024, dimana sebelumnya ada 7 atlet dari berbagai cabor yang sudah dipastikan tampil di ajang tersebut.
Pada acara “Buka Bersama NOC Indonesia” di Jakarta, Kamis, banyak media menanyakan tentang target medali Olimpiade Paris 2024.
“Kami akan menetapkan target setelah kualifikasi selesai, karena yang paling penting saat ini adalah berhasil lolos kualifikasi,” ujar Oktohari.
KOI mencatat bahwa saat ini sembilan atlet telah dipastikan lolos ke Olimpiade Paris, termasuk nama-nama seperti Lalu Muhammad Zohri, Odekta Nabaho, Arif Dwi Pangestu, dan Diananda Choirunisa.
Namun, masih ada cabang olahraga lain yang tengah berjuang untuk mengamankan tiket ke Paris, seperti angkat besi, panahan, balap sepeda, judo, taekwondo, dan bulu tangkis.
Proses kualifikasi akan berlanjut hingga bulan Juni 2024.
Oktohari menegaskan bahwa semakin banyak atlet yang berhasil lolos, semakin besar peluang Indonesia untuk meraih medali.
Dia berharap bahwa Olimpiade Paris 2024 akan menjadi momentum untuk mencatat prestasi baru bagi olahraga Indonesia, dengan harapan dapat lebih sering mengumandangkan lagu kebangsaan, Indonesia Raya.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
