Tak sedikit kalangan yang menganggap kehidupan di dunia ini layaknya sebuah pertandingan. Sehingga tanpa disadari tujuan hidup selalu dimuarakan pada menang – kalah atau berhasil – tidak berhasil pada setiap lokusnya.
Hasil refleksi pengkarya pada koreografi ini, saat berada di lingkungan masyarakat, siapapun cenderung untuk tidak hanya bertahan dan berkuasa.
Lebih dari itu, setiap manusia atau kelompok akan berupaya menjadi versi terbaiknya dengan cara apapun (menghalalkan segala cara). Sehingga dalam kasusnya terkadang ketegangan antarmanusia tak terhindarkan.
Karya yang dinilainya masih dalam tahap pencarian ini, terinspirasi dari pepatah Sunda yang berbunyi : Ngudag-udag kalangkang heulang yang artinya mengharapkan suatu hal yang jauh kemungkinannya dapat terlaksana.
Pepatah tersebut menjadi refleksi pengkarya dan sekaligus memberikan penyadaran atas apa yang terjadi di lingkungan secara khusus dialami personal hingga berada pada titik saat ini. Karya ini tidak hanya menumbuhkan pepatah tetapi juga menawarkan sebuah pemikiran dan penyadaran bagi para apresiator atas apa yang dikejar selama hidup di dunia.
Persembahan Sanggar Soca Niskala Sunda, Lembaga Adat Keraton (LAK) Galuh Pakuan, Subang pada Bandung Isola Performing Art Festival (BIPAF) 2023 di Halaman Gedung Isola UPI Bandung, Jumat (20/10).
